About Me

Teresa received her degree from Marymount Manhattan College with a major in English Literature and Secondary Education where she graduated with honors and is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International honor Society in Education. Teresa briefly taught high school English Literature and then pursued a career in healthcare. Teresa later obtained her MBA at Mercy College in Business Management with a concentration in Business, Human Resources and International Business. Teresa graduated with honors and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society.

Teresa’s experience includes working on a variety of revenue enhancement initiatives for the College of Dental Medicine at Columbia University, Faculty Practice Organization. She also worked extensively on identifying opportunities for process and best practice improvement. Prior to working with the Faculty Practice, Teresa was the Patient Access Manager for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. In this role, she led the access and customer service initiative. Teresa is now working for NYU Langone Medical Center as the Quality Assurance Administrator and Administrative Manager for the department of Neurology. Teresa can provide mentor-ship to develop ones competencies in team building, planning and organization, departmental operations, on boarding of new physicians, bench-marking professional standards and implementing various policies and procedures of the department and the institution. Teresa takes the time to listen, strategize and work as a team to ensure departmental goals are met. She sees problems and challenges as a learning opportunity to unlock the untapped strengths and abilities we each have within us.

On her free time, she is a mentor to college students and those who seek a career in Business Management.
