About Me

My name is Sara L. Mosher, R.N., BSN, MHA. My skills and areas of expertise include neonatal nursing, educational instruction, public speaking, care coordination, patient focused care and family support. I am the developer and owner of Patient+Family Care, LLC, which specializes in healthcare education and support related to patient focused care, as well and finding ways to support parents during the emotional roller coster of the NICU. I received my masters degree from University of Phoenix in health care administration and my bachelors of science in nursing degree from Linfield College.

I have been in neonatal nursing practice for more than 14 years and have practiced as a bedside nurse, manager of the NICU, neonatal flight nurse, family support specialist and currently is serving as manager of care coordination at St. Charles Health System in Bend, OR. I am a leader, teacher and mentor to many nurses within the organization and community and am held in high regard by hospital executives, nursing staff, families and the community. I have been a national conference speaker on family centered care topics and have had the opportunity to create original presentations for organizations on the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative.

I have been a long standing March of Dimes Volunteer; serving on their Central Oregon Board for 4 years and held the position as March for Babies Logistic Chair for 6 years. Most recently, I was accepted as a member for the Central Oregon Ronald McDonald House Charities Board of Directors and am excited to help support a local organization that makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of families!

I am most importantly a wife and mother of two, and LOVE spending time with my family! My hobbies include photography and quilting, and my most favorite is attending c-sections and capturing beautiful photos of those first moments of life for new parents!
