Life Navigation Counseling | Therapist, LPC-S, LCDC, Owner and Director

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas, and I completed my education in substance abuse counseling at the Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies.

I am also a Certified Complicated Pain Recovery Coach. This means I am trained in a relatively new approach to the treatment of chronic pain (physical pain that does not resolve or improve within expected time frames).

In addition, I am a trained EMDR therapist. This is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I have experience working with both adults and adolescents in various settings, utilizing a wide variety of therapeutic approaches to counseling, including aspects of positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, relaxation and meditation techniques, and family systems theory. At the core of my approach to counseling, I am a client-centered therapist.

I see private clients for general individual counseling through my private practice, Life Navigation Counseling, which is located in Dallas, TX. I am also a therapist on staff at a nonprofit outpatient chemical dependency treatment center, GraceToChange, which is located in McKinney, TX.
