Monique Anderson

About Me

Monique Anderson is a Manager with VSP Vision Care's Portfolio Project Management Office where she leads and manages a team of 10 program managers, senior project managers and project managers ensuring that the project quality and project management standards are followed and continually improved. Monique has several years of experience as a business analyst, senior project manager, and program manager, managing projects consisting of over 65 team members and project budgets of 3+ million dollars. Monique is the co-founder and co-chair of VSP's Black Heritage Employee Resource Group and is an inaugural member of the Diversity Council. She is a former Elk Grove retail store owner. She has volunteered as an instructor for the Junior Achievement program, as a mentor for Rancho Cordova High School students, and served as Chair of the T.R.Smedberg Middle School Site Council. Ms. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in both Political Science and Rhetoric and she is a certified Scrum Master. Her hobbies and interests include running, crafting, and spending time with her children and family. She is drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as March of Dimes, Salvation Army, United College Action Network and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
