About Me

My name is MaryAnn Marans My skills and areas of expertise include IT security, security administration and assurance. My professional title is IT specialist with the Federal Government. I received my second Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Security from University of Phoenix and my first Masters Degree in Management Information Systems with concentration in Internet Security from American InterContinental University while working a full time job. I am currently involved with Toastmasters International, FAPAC, NARFE, and FEW. My hobbies and interests include reading, playing games on Facebook and IOS apps, playing with her 3 doggies. I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project and ASPCA.

I have over 30 years working in the Federal Government, 19 years with the Department of Justice/Federal Bureau of Investigation and 12 years with the Department of Defense. I have worked in various security functions (administration, communications, computer, personnel, and procedural with an emphasis on certification and accreditation.

I was a Cub Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts of America for over 5 years as a District Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner, District Cub Trainer,
