About Me

I was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon.
I am a wife and a mother of two.
I earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from USC.
I worked in Cancer research at USC and Vasgene Therapeutics.
I have several scientific publications.

I wrote short stories and poems when I was a child. My passion for writing culminated in 2013 when I decided to write a literary novel.

The novel is an inspirational/visionary work of fiction, entitled "Where Will My Heart Beat". It was published on 11/28/18 by Archway from Simon and Schuster.

The wide spectrum of characters involved in the novel sheds light on the diversity of the human experience while underscoring its sameness: the continuity the human quest.

Where Will My Heart Beat is a poignant story of extremes: good and evil, loss and redemption, love and alienation. It is a story of a man who returns to his past where he reconnects with a former love and searches his soul for intuitive guidance.

I believe the world will be a much better place as women become empowered.
I also believe that we are physical as much as spiritual beings. Only by reconciling these two aspects of our existence can we fulfill our potential in life.
