Katie Netti

About Me

Katie Netti is a Cincinnati raised, New York educated and Chicago residing (Logan Square) artist and high school art teacher. She is the Owner of Urban Oil Ceramics, specializing in handmade and customizable gifts and décor. Katie graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York with a BFA in Glass. She also received her Masters of Science for Teachers and has served 8 years in public schools. She has been a studio technician at the Corning Museum of Glass and a Teaching assistant at the museums studio. She sells work through her website as well as through several retail stores throughout Illinois. Katie is a multi-media artist, using both traditional and radical materials. She has many creation outlets from painting to book binding to photography, sharpies, glass and ceramics, Her variety of media outlets keeps her busy with commission work and gallery showings.

Katie teaches adult art classes from her studio on the weekends in bookbinding, jewelry making and embroidery. She is a Member of the National Association of Professional Women and a 2014 Woman of the Year.
