Chief Diversity Officer/Title IX Coordinator

About Me

I received my B.A. in Political Science with honor, from City University of New York (CUNY) Lehman College and an Executive Master in Public Administration from Baruch College (CUNY); School of Public Affairs. I serve as the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) at the Graduate School and University Center – the doctoral granting unit of CUNY- and the School of Journalism, The School of Professional Studies and Macaulay Honors College. During Spring 2013, the new CUNY School of Public Health was added to my portfolio of equal opportunity, non-discrimination and affirmative action program oversight. I achieved my Advanced Title IX Administrator certification in spring 2014 in response to the current national conversation and federal enforcement regarding sexual assault and or harassment on college campuses across the country.

I co-authored and presented the Graduate Center’s “Recruitment and Retention of Minority Students and Faculty: Best Practices”, at The American Council on Education (ACE) and contributed to the Council of Graduate Schools “Achieving an Inclusive Graduate Community, Inclusive Series, Volume I. I served on various University wide committees for special projects including the Diversity Projects Development Fund, a policy advisory committee to the University Vice Chancellor of Human Resource Management; I am a member of the Graduate Center’s 2014-2015 Diversity Task Force and Co-Chair to the 2013-2018 Faculty Diversity Strategic Plan on behalf of all campuses under my purview. I continue to increase my portfolio of equal opportunity and non-discrimination training workshops for faculty, staff and students and aspire to obtain a JD.
