About Me

My name is Dawn M Atterbury, M.B.A., B.S. My skills and areas of expertise include contracts with small business, government contracting, higher education, mentoring, leadership, management, speaker, educcator. My professional title is Grants and Contracts Accounting Manager at University of Utah, which specializes in higher education. My department in the University provides responsible fiscal management of grants and contracts in an efficient and caring manner while acting as an advocate for the faculty and staff of the University of Utah. I am responsible for planning, organizing, directing and/or controlling all aspects pertaining to accounting and finance functions of assigned department’s internal and external customer service, human resource and financial management operations – pertaining to areas including (but not limited to) invoicing, payroll, purchasing, collections and credits, budgeting, expenses and fiscal reporting. Acts as a catalyst between the department and its customers and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care and quality of service and care.

I received my master's degree in business from Wayland Baptist University. I am currently involved with the National Contracts Management Agency and I am retired after 26 years of service from the Air Force. My hobbies and interests include snowboarding, hiking, motorcycle riding/touring, mountain biking, road biking and spending time with my two boys. I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as Soles 4 Souls, The Boy Scouts Of America, Goldilocks, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, my church, where I volunteer and teach children's church, and those devoted to homeless children and families.
