About Me

I am often asked "What do you do?"

The best answer is that I try to help companies of all sizes comply with the myriad of employment laws, deal with sticky employee relations issues, make sense of complicated leave laws, respond to complaints of harassment and retaliation, train employees and managers on expected workplace behavior, and correctly respond to workplace accommodation requests, all with an eye towards avoiding legal liability. I also defend companies from agency charges and lawsuits filed in state and federal court.

I understand that, at the end of the day, businesses need to focus on delivering their products and services, and not on difficult employment law issues. Because of this I try to make sure that I serve as a resource for in-house counsel and human resources professionals.
