Cheryl Townsend Winter

About Me

My name is Cheryl Townsend Winter, D.D.S., M.S.D., M.B.A. My skills and areas of expertise include literature review, periodontal disease, gum surgeon and healthy aging. My professional title is Periodontist, Author at Dr. Cheryl Townsend Winter. I received my D.D.S. in Dentistry, my M.S. in Dentistry and my M.B.A. degree from the University of Washington. I am currently involved with the A.D.A., the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association, the Washington Society of Periodontists, and the American Academy of Periodontology, where I currently chair the Leadership Development & Qualifications Committee. I am a Diplomate and Fellow of the AAP and I am an affiliate associate professor at the University of Washington Graduate Periodontics. I am also a recent governor's appointee to The Washington State Council on Aging & a member of the American Society on Aging. I have published 10 scientific articles and lectured around the country for 25+ years in my field of Periodontics. My hobbies and interests include writing, vegetable & flower gardening, and exercise, including yoga. I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as Northwest Harvest and helping people be as healthy as they can be.
