About Me

Bobbie has enjoyed a wide cross section of jobs and careers: From Salad Girl to Cook; Cosmetologist to Production Worker to Bookkeeper; Financial Institution Cashier to Member Service to Loan Officer; Pre-Paid Legal Services Representative to CEO of Southern Arkansas; Managing Director of Lynell's Cosmetic Company and Ms. Lynell's USA to Founder/Director of BJ"s Skin Care Cosmetic; Insurance Agent to Multi-Million dollar Real Estate Producer.

Bobbie gained Accreditation as a Bible Teacher from the National Baptist Publishing Board Department of Christian Education, Progressive Zion Association of Texarkana, Texas and Bayview Baptist Church in San Diego, California with extended courses in Christian Enrichment Studies.

Her Spiritual gifts are in serving others, teaching, singing and Christian Leadership. She has been a member of St. Paul Baptist Church since 1966.
She served as President of the Progressive Zion Women Association for six years, as Regional President for the East Texas Division for two years, former assistant Dean of Progressive Zion District Congress, former President of Mission #2 of the East Texas Regional Convention, Senior Choir Member for thirty five years, young Adult Bible Teacher, former Director of the Youth and Young Adult Choir, Past Chairman of the Hospitality Ministry and member of the Senior Mission. She is twice Recording Artist, "Troubles Of The World" (Universal Label) and Awesome God (Bayview Baptist CD "Bless Thou the Lord" 2003). She is currently Teacher for the Apex Sunday School class at St. Paul Baptist Church and founder of Single Women In Christ (SWIC).

She attended Texarkana College for two years and has registered for Spring Classes for the year 2013.

She has received many Plaques, Trophies, Certificates and awards for Community Services throughout the United States and Freeport Bahamas. In August 2004 she was one of fifty voices selected (including her late husband Victor Player Jr.) to sing for Master Mind INc. National Professional Sales Seminar in San Diego, California with Bill Cosby as Key Note Speaker. She received "Editor's Choice Award" in June 2001 from the International Library of Poetry ("A Fallen Star" Edition), she was acknowledged as a Network Director by the National Association for Female Executives, the first black female to attend Leadership Texarkana in 1979/80 (which was the first Leadership Class). She became the first black pioneer in Real Estate of Texarkana USA to cross racial lines in lising and selling of properties. On November 23, 2011 she became the Author of "BECAUSE OF YOU VICTOR, I WRITE". In June 2012 she received from Governor Rick Perry a Certificate in recognition of Nomination to Texas Women's Hall of Fame. Her greatest joy is helping those who are less fortunate than most.

She is the wife of the late Victor "Coach" Player Jr., the proud mother of one son, Steve Johnson, two stepsons, five grand children and one great grand daughter.

Bobbie acknwledges that she is a servant of God with a Mission and a Purpose.
