Position: QA Lead

Location: LA

Length: 6 months +

Industry: Healthcare

Project: Testing the migration of reports to Tableau (ETL). Healthcare industry required.

Technical/Domain Skills:

  • Strong Healthcare Provider Domain and Quality Assurance & Testing knowledge with 10 - 12 years’ experience.
  • Mandatory 6-7 years strong experience on ETL, Data warehouse, Data Lake testing.
  • Good to have data migration experience using BI tools like QLIKVIEW & QLIKSENSE and migrating to Tableau using Cloudera platform.
  • General understanding of when and how health care billing coding schemes are used: CPTs, DRGs, ICD-10
  • Basic understanding of health care services: surgery, implants, pharmacy, therapy, etc.
  • Basic hospital terminologies: Inpatient vs. Outpatient, Inpatient bed types (ICU, Med/Surg, etc.), appointment, visit, charge
  • Basic EMR terminologies (Keck uses Cerner): order, workflow, notes
  • Experienced in handling QA engagements setup in different SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall.
  • Experience in handling Onsite-Offshore Model.
  • Liaison between QA team, development team, business team, and Project Management team
  • Extensive experience in creating test plan, test strategy and test reports
  • Review the test progress on weekly basis and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Provide clarification to testing team on the business requirement and functional workflows
  • Coordinate test environment set-up activities
  • Review the automation strategy, identify right set of functional workflows to be automated

Leadership skills:

  • Manage the working relationships with the client in all the stages of engagements
  • Point of contact and responsible for the QA deliverables
  • Liaison between the client & onshore/offshore delivery teams and ensure the client needs are properly translated successfully to QA team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to stakeholders & client executive management on all aspects of QA engagements.
  • Ability to effectively drive, monitor, track and direct offshore/remote QA teams
  • Ability to conduct and participate in daily status/scrum meeting
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
