King & Spalding, a leading global law firm, is currently seeking a Financial Systems Analyst II to join our Finance Department in Atlanta. The department offers the opportunity for a systems analyst to join an innovative and collaborative team focused on supporting accounting practices and developing solutions to improve processes and procedures. The Financial Systems Analyst II will be responsible for working with members from all areas and levels of the organization to facilitate change through systems and process improvements. This position will report to the Manager of Financial Systems & Implementations.

Candidates will have the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor of the financial systems; meet with key stakeholders to define and analyze areas for process improvements
  • Lead projects as assigned with limited oversight; develop project plans, coordinate resources, monitor project status, facilitate meetings, provide project reports and adhere to budgets
  • Leverage technical understanding and accounting/ finance acumen to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Provide technical and functional design, coding, testing and implementation of new reports and software, along with modifications to existing reports and software.
  • Act as a liaison with IT to collaborate and prioritize requests
  • Be an agent of change to improve or replace the existing finance systems; provide application integration solutions to improve efficient use of the financial system for all users
  • Support end-users of the financial systems and provide on-going maintenance
  • Develop process flow documentation
  • Implement best practices for data access, report development, design and support
  • Assist in the management of outside vendors which support Finance initiatives, including outside consultants, product support personnel, trainers, etc.

Successful Candidates are detail oriented, anticipate problems and provide solutions and have the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, high volume environment. Bachelor’s degree required. 5-8 years of law firm or professional services experience preferred. 2+ year experience with relational databases, data validation, and report writing - SQL, Power BI, Business Objects, Crystal Reports or similar strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Visio, Projects and/or Access. Experience with a large ERP, such as Aderant, is preferred.
