Louisa Jamgochian Hello I would like to introduce myself to the group! My name is Louisa Jamgochian and I run a financial planning practice in midtown Manhattan in association with Northwestern Mutual. I work on a team of financial planners and when we sit down with clients we share concepts of savings, investments, life, disability and long term care insurances. We also focus on retirement income while reducing financial risk. In addition to this we do hold seminars for businesses by meeting with large groups of employees regarding their benefits and assisting with their 401k allocations.     Jacqueline Holloman The Other Side of Hospice What is the difference between in ON Hospice, and being IN hospice? A person needs to have a life expectancy of 6 months or less from a terminal condition to in IN hospice. Being ON hospice means a person has a condition that will ultimately lead to their death. Hospice is paid for by Medicare, and to qualify for Hospice you must have a physicians’ referral. Hospice provides the patient and family with a registered nurse, certified nursing assistant, and a chaplain. The RN and CNA typically visit 3-4/week independent of each other. If you work, if you are taking care of a loved one, or you know of someone who would benefit from this service, they all need hospice. Hospice is your other set of eyes, and ears for loved ones.
