Nora Gettliffe I'm not sure how this works, but I'm looking for a group to talk about mentoring in a technical field. My company gets a lot of students looking for work experience (internships, mostly) and I've generated a program for identifying projects and matching them to students, so that both the student and company benefit, but I'm looking for suggestions on how to manage this better. We've had some great successes with automation, software and mechanical design projects, and we've hired about 30% of the students we've had pass through our doors, but I'm always looking for ways to do things better. Right now I handle this program myself but I'd like ideas on how to get my staff, particularly HR, to become more involved. If anyone would like to discuss this, I'd appreciate any insights.
